Ceramic film
Dyed film darkens the glass. Metalized film can bounce heat, and it can also fuss with GPS, phones, and some cameras. Ceramic rejects more infrared heat without that metal layer, so the cabin stays cooler in Florida sun at a shade that still passes a meter.

Florida tint law
We install to current Florida rules and tell you the measured visible light before work starts. The numbers below are the statute, not shop slang — “28% tint” in ads often means the opposite of what the meter reads.
- Windshield: a transparent strip above the AS-1 line only. Full-windshield film is not a standard legal install.
- Front side windows: at least 28% visible light through glass plus film, and no more than 25% reflectance.
- Windows behind the driver: at least 15% light (6% on multipurpose passenger vehicles), reflectance capped at 35%.
- If the rear glass is dark enough to block the view, the vehicle needs outside mirrors on both sides.
- Laws change. We meter the job. A medical exemption is a separate paper trail if you need darker fronts.
